My New Single of the Week - The Prodigy - Nasty

My new single of the week this week is 'Nasty' by The Prodigy.

I have always been a big fan of The Prodigy. This single was released in January 2015, but its not so far entered the top 40 in the UK charts. Regardless of that, its a fabulous single and classic prodigy.

'Nasty' is the bands 22nd single to be released. It's from their album 'The Day is My Enemy' which is due to be released in 2015. 'Nasty' is the first single from this album.

Before we go any further, here is the video. Firstly, if you haven't heard it then turn it up loud, its that kind of song. Then watch the video because its fab. Its a fox filmed in black and white with animation colour. 4 hunters are chasing the fox through the streets. They corner it and start shooting, but the fox stares them out, with white eyes like a trance. The hunters stop and their eyes go blank. The fox leads them into the woods where the hunters transform into foxes themselves. Its a fabulous video.

The song is big and noisy. The Prodigy are all about electronic sounds and big bass, and this track is no different. From their early days, and with their albums  'The Fat of the Land' and 'Music for the Jilted Generation' right through to present, the band have been big, powerful, noisy, exciting and have earned their label as the Godfathers of Rave.

This is such a catchy song, ideal for really going for it at the gym or a run, or even just for getting ready to go out. Its fabulous, energetic and powerful. I love this song!!

Go listen, let me know what you think of it. You can check out all my previous choices over at My Music page here. Happy listening :)
