Day 3 of My Week with Paloma Faith - Stone Cold Sober

Day 3 of my week with Paloma Faith and today its 'Stone Cold Sober'.

'Stone Cold Sober' was the debut single for Paloma, and was the first to be released from her debut album 'Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful'. Both were released in 2009.

This is quite a song for a debut. Its full of style and attitude that we now know and recognise as being classic Paloma. This is dramatic, theatrical and bold and utterly brilliant. Paloma really put herself out there with this and set the bar.

The video sees Paloma in a gorgeous red vintage dress with flaming red locks. She is "wilder than the wind, 119 miles per hour". She lets it loose, dancing and being crazy, but she's in control because she is "stone cold sober".

Palomas's voice is so strong in this track. She sounds amazing, and is able to do soft and strong, feminine and bold all at once. Its a catchy song and it reached number 17 on the UK singles chart.

You can check out Days 1 & 2 of my week with Paloma, plus loads more over at My Music page here. Happy listening :)
