What I'm Watching the Week

  • Lucky Man. Wow - what a series this is becoming. James Nesbitt is fabulous in the lead role of this as DI Harry Clayton. He is down on his luck until he has a brief encounter with a stranger, and ends up with a metal cuff on his wrist that he cannot get off. The bracelet seems to be some sort of lucky charm, but at a price. For every bit of good luck he gets, someone pays the price. We have watched the first three episodes and are totally hooked. Fabulous stuff.

  • Emmerdale. Aaron's story line at the moment is really disturbing. However, he is such a great young actor, that you can't help but be swept up in the emotion. Emmerdale is standing head and shoulders above the other soaps at the moment, in my humble.

  • Benidorm. It may not be as great as it once was, but this is pure entertainment. Silly stuff, but it does make me smile. It also makes me want some sun in this rotten weather here.

  • Walking Dead. On series 5 now, and still loving Daryl as much as ever!! Continuing gruesomeness, but somehow the main characters seem all the more real amid the carnage. Loving this end of the world survival stuff.
