11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month - Armistice Day - wear your poppy!!

November 11 is Armistice day when we all wear our poppy to remember those that fought for us. It commemorates the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany at 11am on November 11, 1918.

Today there is a two minute silence held to mark the occasion - on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month - to remember those killed in the World Wars and all of those British servicemen killed or injured since.

Wear your poppy with pride and honour the 2 minute silence today as we remember.
