My Travels - Belfast & Northern Ireland - Causeway walk

The road to the causeway passes scattered rocks

The sea crashes over them relentlessly

White foaming waters cause a mist to rise over the bay

The coastline is rugged

The rocks jut out forming spectacular outlines

The causeway rocks are beautiful and unnatural at the same time

The formations look like carvings - columns of stone tower above

We began the ascent of the causeway coastal path

It winds across the rock face

Giving the most amazing vantage point

Looking down at the foaming water was daunting

Its an unforgiving place

But mind blowingly beautiful

The pathway isn't for the faint hearted

Or for anyone afraid of heights - the stairway was steep

We made it to the top

Just as the sun came through

Just stunning
