Day 18 and today it is Greg Lake with 'I Believe in Father Christmas'.
Ok, so this is a Christmas favourite, but little did I know that it was never supposed to be. I also was blissfully unaware that the singer and creator of this particular festive output was none other than Greg Lake. Who he I hear you say? Well, even at my age, which is too young to recall the music at the time, I do know the group Emerson, Lake and Palmer - he being the Lake of the trio.
Greg apparently wrote this song in protest of the commercialisation of Christmas. It was released in 1975 and reached number 2 in the uk singles chart.
So there we have it - another Christmas song that was never really meant to be one - but here it is on day 18.
