Day Seven of My Week with Amy Winehouse - You Know I'm No Good

Day seven of my week with Amy Winehouse and for my last song, I've chosen 'You Know I'm No Good'.

This was the second song from her second album, Back to Black. What an amazing album that was, featuring quite a few of my choices this week! This single reached number 18 on the UK singles chart.

No Good was released in 2007. I absolutely love the music to this one. Its very bluesy, very soul, and more than a little R&B. It sounds sultry. Her voice again sounds deep, emotional, and powerful.

The video to this one sees Amy looking stunning. She looks clear skinned, radiant, and sexy. She's at a bar, then she's lying on the floor in a kimono with a drink. Then she's in bed with her beau, then in the bath. Basically, its all about her and her man. She's been cheating on him, and he finds out.

The lyrics are pretty dark. 'I cheated myself, like I knew I would. I told you I was trouble, You know that I'm no good." 'Upstairs in bed with my ex - boy, he's in a place, but I can't get joy, thinking on you in the final throes." All about cheating, feeling guilty, and getting caught.

Its very blues, very vintage, and very hard hitting. Amy Winehouse adding her personal update to a bygone era. More fantastic stuff from her enormous talent vault.

So that was my last pick of my week with Amy Winehouse. You can check out the previous choices plus loads more over at My Music page - just click here.
