New Single of the Week - Christine and the Queens - Tilted

My New Single of the Week is from Christine and the Queens with 'Tilted'.

This is an unusual song, and is as I write this, it is riding at number 29 in the UK singles charts. This artists real name is Héloïse Letissier, and she is French, but she is also known as Christine - hence Christine and the Queens.

'Tilted' is the third single from her debut album Chaleur Humaine. It was translated from the French version "Christine". The album was released in the UK in 2016, as was this single.

This song is very mellow, and it reminds me of bands like Haim with the lovely female vocals and sort of pop come folk type of sound. This particular song stands out though - its quirky and very original.

The video is simple but fascinating. Just Héloïse and a few friends dressed in black dancing on a black box. It perfectly suits the song.

According to Héloïse aka Christine, the song is all about being off balance. It makes sense in a funny sort of way, and it really appeals to me.

This is a great song, one that fits sultry evenings, or cosy evenings equally as well. Go take a listen and let me know what you think.
